Privacy notice
Any questions about this page, get in touch.
›Who we are
Pacific provides SIA licence linked training. We decide how and why your personal data is used when you enquire with us, which makes us the controller under UK GDPR.
›What we collect when you enquire
Your name, email address, phone number, the course and location you asked about, any preferred dates, your message, and whether you agreed to marketing. We also record which page you came from, when your enquiry arrived and when we replied.
›When you book and pay
Your name, email address, phone number, the course and date you booked, your answers to the eligibility questions, and the date you accepted our terms. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page: your card details never reach us. Stripe tells us the payment reference and the last four digits of the card.
›Your identity documents
Before any assessment we must check your identity, as the SIA and the awarding organisation require. You can upload photos of your ID and proofs of address before your course so we can spot problems early. The photos are encrypted, kept away from our public website, and seen only by our staff. We delete them once we have checked your original documents on the first day. We keep a record of which documents we accepted, who checked them and when, for 3 years, as the awarding organisation requires.
›Your workbook and ACT certificate
Photos of your completed workbook and your ACT certificate are kept with your booking for 3 years, because the awarding organisation can ask us to show that your self-study was done.
›Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and arrange training, which is our legitimate interest as a training provider, and to send you course updates where you have agreed to that. Consent for marketing is separate from the enquiry itself and you can withdraw it at any time.
›How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after twelve months. Enquiries that become bookings are kept for six years, because training and awarding body records have to be retrievable for that long.
›Who else sees it
Stripe, which takes card payments for us; our email provider; our hosting and storage provider; our spam protection provider; the service that sends alert messages to our team when you book; and, where the qualification requires it, the awarding organisation that certifies your course.
›Where it is held
In the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.
›Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Email us and we respond within one month.
›The Navigator
Questions asked in the Navigator are logged so we can see which answers are missing. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped before anything is stored, in the browser and again on our server. The log is not linked to your enquiry.
