Romania: Certificat de Cazier Judiciar
You need this if you have lived in Romania for six continuous months or more in the last ten years.
Who can apply
Romanian nationals. A representative can apply with notarised consent or power of attorney. UK employers cannot apply.
Where
In Romania, in person at the local county police station. From the UK, through the Romanian embassy in London.
What to supply
- Completed application form from the police station or embassy
- Photographic identification when collecting
Translation
Certificates are issued in Romanian only, so a translation is required. A translation service may be available at the police station.
Watch out
A fast track option exists in Romania with a much shorter turnaround than the standard route.
