Philippines: National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
You need this if you have lived in Philippines for six continuous months or more in the last ten years.
Who can apply
Nationals and non nationals holding a residence permit.
Where
In the Philippines, in person at an NBI clearance centre. From abroad, nationals can have the application legalised at the embassy and send it to a representative in the Philippines, or apply through the embassy in London.
What to supply
- Full name, date and place of birth
- Physical description including height, weight and distinguishing features
- Residential address
- Fingerprints and a partial handprint
Translation
Issued in English, so no translation is normally needed.
Watch out
Renewal kiosks in the Philippines are for renewals only, not first applications.
