Pakistan: Police Character Certificate
You need this if you have lived in Pakistan for six continuous months or more in the last ten years.
Who can apply
Individuals. A close relative can apply with written consent. Prospective employers cannot apply.
Where
In Pakistan, by post or in person at the local police station or district office. From the UK, through the High Commission in London or the Consulate in Manchester.
What to supply
- Full name and parents' names
- Date and place of birth
- Current address and all previous addresses in Pakistan
- CNIC, NICOP or Pakistan Origin Card
- Reason for the application with supporting evidence
- Copies of passport or national identity document
- Fingerprints may be required, so ask first
Translation
Certificates may be issued in English. Anything else needs an approved translation.
Watch out
Overseas applications take around two to three weeks and there is no fast track.
